Congressman Joe Donnelly, Indiana's 2nd District

ImageAs a husband, father, small businessman, and graduate of Notre Dame, Joe Donnelly understands the Hoosier values of faith, family and hard work. After moving to South Bend and graduating from Notre Dame in 1977, Joe went on to graduate from the Notre Dame Law School in 1981.  Joe has enjoyed a long and distinguished career not only in business, but also as a public servant.  From 1988-1989 he served on the Indiana State Election Board, a position that allowed him to work with members of both parties to insure fair and accurate election results.  Joe was also a member of the School Board for Mishawaka Marian High School from 1997-2001, serving as President during the 2000-2001 term.  He gained valuable insight and experience in managing and finding solutions to the problems that our education system faces.  After practicing law for 15 years, Joe decided in 1996 to carry on the family tradition by opening his own small business, Marking Solutions, based out of Mishawaka.  Marking Solutions is a printing and rubber stamp company and has enjoyed tremendous success in its 10 years of operation.  Joe is also a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  Joe lives in Granger with his wife, Jill. They have been married for 27 years.  Together they have two children, Molly and Joseph Jr.

Congressman Brad Ellsworth, Indiana's 8th District

ImageBrad Ellsworth has spent an entire career protecting the lives of the people of southwest Indiana.  Now as the 8th District's Congressman, Brad continues his career-long commitment to putting Hoosiers first.  A member of the fiscally conservative Blue Dog Coalition, Brad is working to reduce waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayer dollars in Washington.  He currently sits on the Armed Services, Agriculture, and Small Business Committees.

In 1982, Brad began his 24-year career in the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's office.  He was twice decorated for heroism in the line of duty and graduated from the FBI National Academy.  Brad also instituted the first Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program in the Evansville - Vanderburgh School Corporation.  In 1998, Brad ran and was elected Vanderburgh County Sheriff, where he completed two terms. During his tenure as Sheriff, Brad became a leader in the war on methamphetamines, and started Indiana's most comprehensive website to track and monitor sexual offenders.  He also served as President of the Indiana Sheriff's Association.

Brad was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, but lived nearly all of his life in Evansville where his father worked as a crane operator in the Warrick County Alcoa plant.  He attended University of Southern Indiana, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, and Indiana State University where he received a Masters Degree in Criminology.

Brad and his wife, Beth, reside in Evansville.  Together they have a daughter, Andrea, who attends Indiana University.  The family attends St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Congressman Baron Hill, Indiana's 9th District

ImageFirst elected to Congress in 1998, Baron Hill lost his seat in 2004 by a mere 1,500 votes.  He grew up in Seymour, the small town of John Mellencamp's song "Small Town," and played basketball for Furman, which later won him induction into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame with the more famous Larry Bird.  Hill then returned home to a family insurance business.  In 1982, at 29, he was elected to the state House and served eight years.  In 1990, then-Governor Evan Bayh appointed Hill to head the state's student assistance agency; a position that he eventually left to work for Merrill Lynch.  When Lee Hamilton announced his retirement in 1997, Hill jumped into the race, winning 51% to 48%.  In the House, Hill is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition.
